We run a programme of seven antenatal courses each year in Bedminster, you can find all the dates below. Ideally you will be between 28-32 weeks pregnant at the start of your antenatal class, so there is some flexibility on which course is best for you.
Birth partners play an important role in supporting you at all stages in your journey to becoming a parent – we therefore advise that your birth partner attends antenatal classes with you, whether it’s the Dad, a relative or friend. Our course fee includes your birth partner, there are no extra costs.
Charli teaches our antenatal classes in Bedminster. Her professional experience is a great resource for you, both within your antenatal classes, and in the extra support she offers you in this exciting journey into parenthood. Whether via the class Facebook group – or private chats, if you have more personal questions, even between sessions.
Charli qualified as a midwife in 2015 and works at St.Michaels Hopsital as a rotational midwife. This means she works in a variety of settings – Central Delivery Suite, Induction of Labour Suite, Day Assessment Unit, Antenatal Clinic, Midwife Led Unit and the Antenatal and Postnatal Ward.
” I feel privileged that my job enables me to support women and their families during such an important and transitional time in their lives; I make it a priority to provide a relaxed, safe and positive experience whatever the setting.”
She believes that birth and parenting education during the antenatal period is integral for parents to make informed choices, and this enables them to be actively involved in their care and as prepared as they can be.
